Fields of Isolation

A long term documentary project exploring farming, isolation and everyday life in rural North Wales and Anglesey. The work is made slowly, following people and places over time, with a particular interest in the quiet realities that exist behind the public image of farming.

Nothing Much

A study of local ordinary places and uneventful moments. Nothing Much is about paying attention to the things that are easily overlooked: a roadside, an empty building, a parked vehicle, a patch of land or something left behind. There is no particular event to document. The photographs are simply an attempt to notice what is already there.

Eryri - The visited landscape

A long term exploration of the effects of tourism on the landscape and communities of Eryri. Rather than photographing the familiar postcard views, the project will look at the less visible consequences of increasing visitor numbers: traffic, erosion, litter, footpaths, car parks, commercial development and the changing character of local places. The work will explore the tension between desires to experience this extraordinary landscape and the pressure that desire places upon it.
